The bayonet killing zone within the trenches had been constructed for a previous exercise. The engineers constructed a combat zone to facilitate a variety of infantry face-to-face encounters. The top brass had been impressed both with the work of the engineers and the way in which soldiers used it in a previous exercise. The killing zone was predominantly located in sandy terrain. The trenches themselves were wide enough for soldiers to rifle butt and bayonet targets.

A gallows for executions was built at the highest point of a ridge. Umpire Slye was sentenced to hang for incompetence on duty. Maj. Fernando-Armesto conferred with Maj. Mannhelder to pass on the command to Lt. Borso, the officer in charge of Umpires. The execution represented the opening part of the trench killing zone combat. Soldiers were to line up in formation with weapons and watch the execution. Maj. Mannhelder commanded the MP unit to carry out the execution.

Also, he requested that the MPs expose Umpire Slye’s cock and balls. In this way everybody would see if the cock responded to the noose. As a last gesture the MPs might milk Umpire Slye’s cock if necessary.

Lt. Borso had his work cut out when he assembled and briefed the rest of the Umpires. He claimed that the execution of an Umpire was an unusual event. The military authorities would be reviewing their military combat history in great detail from now on. It was a fact that their missing colleagues had fallen in combat. They would probably be posted back to General Infantry. For this segment the Umpires had extra tasks starting with assisting the Quartermaster in issuing weapons. The rifle butts and bayonets would not be affected by the sandy conditions. The butts were heavier enough to be an effective clubbing weapon. The knives did have a protective case but could be tucked into the side of the soldiers’ boots. In addition the Umpires were required to take an active role assisting soldiers from both sides w working over targets.

The MPs were in complete control of the formal execution. In truth perimeter guard duties were notas exciting as a hanging. Here their cocks and balls were totally exposed to the entire assembly.

Their cocks had no particular reason to be erect but their size impressed. Ninety to one hundred soldiers formed up in their units complete with weapons the the shoulder. Two MPs escorted Umpire Slye to the gallows. The prisoner wore boots, the vintage shorts and a dog tag across his bare chest. An MP confiscated the cap. The officers wanted everybody on parade to see the noose around the Umpire’s neck.

Lt. Borso assumed the task of finding volunteers for the staked area. These must include Lt. Fuller, Cpl. Tallong and Capt. Kransdorf. In addition the re-assigned Umpires Bonner and Masterton.

A number of soldiers had bull-sized balls today. These included Sgt. Antionio, Cpl. Tallong, and Umpire Bonner. Soldiers loved to attack and threaten to cut off bull-sized balls. Here in the trench killing zone they would go one step further and actually cut off the bull-sized balls. Maj. Miguel was totally exhibitionist; he decided that Sgt. Antonio and himself would wear the camouflage trousers with the cowboy chaps exposing their cocks and balls. It was only fair that the Spanish soldiers seethe thick cock and hairy balls. After all it may be the last time! Sgt. Antonio was cautious: his bullsized balls would attract extra knife attention. Cpl. Tallong would bravely attempt this when he attacked Sgt. Antonio but did not succeed. Elsewhere on the staked area Cpl. Tallong found other soldiers with bull-sized balls; he happily sliced them off; in some cases he was able to stuff cocks and balls into their own or buddies’ mouths. Cant. Kransdorf ruled that, where possible, cocks were to jut out of mouths head first. It seems that the ruling was passed over to Maj. Mannhelder as fighters in the trench killing zone accepted it as gospel.

The two sides ostensibly wore green or light blue and black strip armbands. In the heat of the combat and, in particular, the crowded trenches so-called “friendly fire” was possible and, indeed, happened. The officers were included in the random violence. The Umpires might have worn caps but this singled them out as targets. The surviving MPs remained coo-headed and seemingly immune from attack; everybody saw the exposed MPs’ cocks and balls.

Lt. Brant was satisfied with the regulation bayonet attached to the rifle butt. It would satisfy his needs and prove an all-purpose weapon. He trained Sgt. Marlowe and the two barbers. He appreciated the willing spirit they brought to the killing zone. They proved to be assets in the trenches. To his surprise they excelled in bayoneting soldiers in the guts and then clubbing them to death. Who would have considered barbers to be so lethal? Other soldiers had gone rusty on bayonet practice but the quickly remembered their training. The Spaniards were not rusty and that proved to be a contributing factor in the eventual outcome of the trench combat.

The result of the combat was not predetermined but the Spaniards licked the friendly forces in many different ways. Yes, the Spaniards lost valuable soldiers in the stake out area. There were eight stake outs—five occupied by Spaniards and three by friendly forces.

Lt. Fuller who headed to friendly force stakes was pleased to see his protegee Cpl. Tallong slice off Sgt. Pedro’s cock and balls. So Sgt. Pedro headed the Spanish casualties. Sgt. Antonio attacked Lt. Fuller who was less pleased when he lost his own cock and balls. Capt. Kransdorf directed the swap of cocks and balls. He had to compromised when both sides suffered uneven casualties. The survivors enjoyed the sights of the castrated casualties; there but for the grace of…go I.

The survivors’ joy was short-lived as they were shortly sucked back into combat. Capt. Kransdorf was unprepared for a Spanish Sgt., Sgt. Francisco, to bayonet him right through the guts.

Furthermore, he fell back down onto the sand. Sgt. Francisco impaled him deep into the sand. The Capt. was in incredible pain and powerless to stop the Sgt. cutting off his cock and balls. The Sgt. was unable to easily pull the weapon out of Capt. Kransdorf’s torso. He chose to collect the Capt’s weapon. This was just as well because a friendly force soldier attacked him in revenge. They impaled each other with considerable force. The bayonet blade was merciless.

Umpires Bonner and Masterton were superfluous to the knife fighters. They were re-assured to see these soldiers having the time of their life playing with the knives. Umpire Bonner watched a number of castrations. In some cases the action was clumsy. The cock was hacked off rather than easily sliced off with the special purpose knife. In a way hacking was the Order of the Day. The special purpose knife may have been doing its job but it didn’t live up to the advance publicity and claims.

Only a Umpire would be stupid enough to attack the Quartermaster. Umpire Masterton seized the opportunity to challenge him when the Quartermaster was inspecting the stakes. The Quartermaster had always enjoyed knife combat. He ordered the Umpire to drop his vintage shorts at the same time as he dropped his camouflage trousers. Both cocks rose to the occasion. Umpire Bonner was puzzled but he supervised so that there was no outside interference. The knife duel was carried out like a textbook bayonet exercise. The outcome was no surprise: the Quartermaster got his way; he sliced off Pte. Masterton’s cock and balls. Pte. Masterton was so dismayed he slit his own throat with the knife. The blood splashed down his chest. The Quartermaster put his camouflage trousers back on, wiped the knife, put it back in its holster and continued patrolling back to the trench area.

This was a lively killing zone. Lt. Brant challenged Maj. Miguel who welcomed the chance to bayonet him. Maj. Miguel excelled in his bayonet training many years ago. Lt. Brant was a raw recruit by comparison. The bayonet impaled Lt. Brant who was literally stopped in his tracks. The pain was excruciating. Maj. Miguel’s cock was handy; he pissed all over the Lt. What relief! Sgt. Marlowe was sorry to see the end of Lt. Brant who had been so helpful. The Sgt. wasn’t moved to revenge as he was too level-header. He continued hunting down and killing targets with the bayonet. Nevertheless, he was shocked when a Spaniard clubbed him out of the blue. In turn the barbers were dismayed at this clubbing but they had to fend off attackers as well. They put up a worthy fight but the Spaniards successfully bayonetted and clubbed them to death.

A mere Spanish Pte. bayonetted and clubbed Maj. Rappel to death. The Maj. had been expecting a sniper assassin rather than a Spanish Pte. The trench was overfull at the time with fighters attacking with bayonets and finishing off the targets with rifle butts. The bodies started to smell.

Maj. Mannhelder could see the friendly force side was in trouble. He had qualms about whether he himself would survive. Now he regretted his enthusiasm for bringing the Spanish troops into the combat. Maj. Fernando-Armesto was presumably supporting the Spanish side.

Maj. Mannhelder decided to challenge Maj. Miguel to a duel with weapons to be negotiated. Maj. Miguel insisted that they both use rifle butts and bayonets. Some exhausted fighters paused to watch the trench duel. Maj. Miguel overlooked the number of bodies he would trip over. Maj. Mannhelder was a canny Special Forces officer and unafraid of rifle butts and bayonets. The Spaniards were numerically winning the combat day but they still lost their leader. The bayonet penetrated Maj. Miguel’s guts. Shortly afterwards Maj. Mannhelder clubbed Maj. Miguel to a conclusive death. Sgt. Francisco was genuinely disappointed in the outcome but he expected there would be an outstanding Spaniard to replace the fallen Maj. Miguel. The rank and file Spaniards gasped in disbelief but realised that they had still won the trench combat. They had killed more friendly force soldiers than those they had lost. Sgt. Antonio escorted Maj. Fernando-Armesto during the inspection.

Maj. Fernando-Armesto called an end to the trench combat. However, he insisted that the survivors from all combat activities formally parade for a roll call in front of the execution site. Umpire Slye still hung from the gallows. Everybody paraded with cocks hanging out of camouflage trousers.

The Maj. was relieved that he could flaunt his own big cock in front of all the troops. Maj. Mannhelder organised the friendly force troops with the help of the Quartermaster. The MPs were nominally under the Maj’s command. Sgt. Francisco rallied the Spanish forces. Lt. Borso called in the Umpires.

Lt. Borso returned to his Eagle Strike force unit which became operational. Today’s Umpires were posted to other units. Staff Sgt. Bonner was posted back to a desk job which was crushingly boring. One night he got marching orders with very short notice and was never seen again in those barracks.

A few months later Cpl. Tallong graduated as an MP. His package contained a knife and a short document.

“Congratulations. You are now a full member of the Military Cattle Cut Club. The enclosed knife is a reward for past performance. We look forward to your attendance at our compulsory meetings which are approved by the authorities.”
